Entering her 3rd season with Thunder Bay (2021-present)

Adriana is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She has an intensive 25 years volleyball career.  In the United States, she has played and coached for Saint Petersburg, and Ave Maria University.  Her goal is to share some of her knowledge of the game with the next generation of volleyball players.

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCE:
Born in Havana, Cuba. Suramys started playing volleyball at the age of 11. By age 12, she was a member of the Cuba Girl’s Junior National Volleyball Team. Due to her immense talent, she was promoted to the Cuba Women’s Senior National Volleyball Team by age 15, where she won 5 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal in international competitions.
 
COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCE:
In 2010, Suramys received a scholarship to play for Miami    Dade College. Here she helped to win the conference and state championships for consecutive years and earned an invitation to practice with the USA Women’s Volleyball Team.

PROFESSIONAL VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCE:
After college, Suramys played professionally in Peru and France 2014-2017. Completing 2 seasons as Opposite in Peru and 2 seasons in France.
